We decided to wait a while into our trip before getting lunch so we all ordered a cup of coffee at The Plaza 46 Diner. Sonya suggested we start collecting a place mat at each diner we stopped at, at which point Larry and I started describing the limited reoccurring place mats we will probably come across.

Dave: There are the ones with all the drinks listed on them and one with ads all over it with the diners name in the middle.
Larry: ...and the ones with the gold squiggly borders.
Dave: No, it's green.
Larry: Gold! Oh wait...there are two.

We decided that collecting these would be a bad idea and the conversation was rapidly deteriorating. Our lives were put in perspective...so we drank more coffee.

The next diner we came across was The Park West Diner. As soon as we sat down the waiter presented us with FREE pasta salad and rolls! We felt welcome here so we decided to order lunch. The topic of conversation turned to the Weird New Jersey WEB site, an excellent place to visit. Sonya and I discussed the possible visiting of her home-town abandoned loonie-bin with random body parts in jars...this I gotta see.
