"Hey look!" said Dave as he pointed toward a sign, "A flea market!"
"I dunno dave, I don-"
"Oh come on it'll be awesome, and it will make for some great roadtrip stories."
So we decided to go to the flea market. There was the usual assortment of crap. A lot of baseball card dealers. But overall nothing interesting. Dave convinced me to get my fortune told. The reader, Madam Stevens, asked me to shuffle my cards and make a wish for something. I asked for a raise at work so I can have money to buy a car. She said that she had good vibes that I would obtain a car in October. (I actually bought the car 3 weeks later in August.) Then the fortune telling began - I am to meet my life partner soon - a girl with a mark on her right shoulder who's name started with an R. That I would confront an old enemy soon and come to terms with them. That my career is going in the right direction but I will start my own business soon. She said that my career would have something to do with the internet. That I will go on a vacation starting for 2 week but it will go on much longer. That a friend with a red car should get their tires and brakes checked. That I will be the father to a boy and a girl someday. And that I should tell my troublers to someone whos name starts with an M. Oooooo.... spooky. I used to read tarot cards - its a lot less fortune telling than it is being a good judge of character and making some educated guesses. How likely is it that I work in the internet field? How likely is it that I am planing a vacation? How likely is it that I know someone with a red car? And if I have a boy and a girl someday does that mean she is right? Or that it was a coincidence? It was fun, and yeah I suppose this makes for a good story. But overall this was a waste of $15.00.
Still, we took Dave's red truck in to have his brakes checked before we continued on our trip.
